First Feedback
Yesterday in class I presented my first non-tonal chord progression to the class. My piece seemed very well received. Many people liked my continuous increase in tension. The students were to rate each chord on a scale of 1 to 10 with regards to tension. Due to my increasing scale of tensions many students needed more numbers then 10 and one even went to 16. The constructive criticism that I received was to make a more gradual release of tension after my most tense, two palm cluster chord. I originally just used three high register chords to release the tension but more may be needed as I continue work.
